Check out my article in last Sunday’s Boston Globe about the best places to eat, drink and stay for women. Now, these places are also great for men, too, of course. But sometimes a woman traveling to NYC alone needs a little help choosing the best spots. I included some of my favorite places like Balthazar, Café Lalo and the balcony at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse in Grand Central Station. The Hotel Giraffe is a great hotel to stay. The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s rooftop garden and MOMA have amazing restaurants/lounges for solo travelers. New York City is absolutely magic for any woman who finds herself in the City for an hour or–lucky you–a weekend or longer. Check it out.
