Red, White and Brew

th (2)Hurricane Arthur is going to make a cameo appearance on the Fourth of July and so the Boston Pops and fireworks are rescheduled for the Third of July. So, basically an excuse to begin the celebrations early! Here are some fave spots in Boston for a Samuel Adams and other patriotic cocktails.

Ned Devine’s Irish Pub
In the heart of Faneuil Hall, Ned Devine’s has 20-plus large flat-screen TVs and a club called, Passion. (neddevinesboston.com)

Mass Ave Tavern A foosball table, a wall stacked with board games (Battleship, anyone?) this casual Back Bay sports bar and restaurant has fun apps (think Buffalo Chicken Rangoons) and great service. (www.massavetavern.com)

McGreevy’s
A loyal Red Sox bar and spot-on for music lovers (it’s home base for Celtic punk band, Dropkick Murphys), McGreevy’s has floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto Boylston Street—nice for a summer night. (mcgreevysboston.com)

The Harp
