NYC is, of course, magical during the holidays. But it’s a sensational year-round destination and each season has something special to offer. If you have kids and NYC is on your hot list, a great last minute gift idea is my Kindle book “New York City with Kids” http://www.amazon.com/Best-York-City-Kids-ebook/dp/B006GFB610/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1324311999&sr=1-8  Or, if you won’t be traveling with kids, check out another one of my Kindle books, “New York City Made Easy” http://www.amazon.com/York-City-Made-Easy-ebook/dp/B0047DW6EY/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1324311999&sr=1-1  NYC is expected to host 50 million visitors in 2012 and these books will help you enjoy it all! Merry, merry and happy, happy.

About Laurie Bain Wilson

A little about myself: My father wrote Coffee, Tea or Me? when I was seven years old. The book made the New York Times bestseller list for an entire year. I wasn't allowed to tell anyone that my father wrote it. He was the ghostwriter for two fictitious stewardesses, Trudy Baker and Rachel Jones. I was so embarrassed by Coffee, Tea or Me? I wasn't quite sure why it was a big secret that my father wrote the book or, even more confusing, why my dad was pretending to be a woman, or worse, two women but I was very happy to keep the secret. Today, I'm very proud that my dad wrote it. Not only did I become a writer but, perhaps inspired by Coffee, Tea or Me?, I fell in love with the travel industry and have made my living as a travel writer and editor, crisscrossing the globe on assignment for almost two decades. I have written many lifestyle articles for newspapers, magazines and websites, including Boston Magazine, New England Travel, Woman's Day, The New York Daily News, The New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, Boston Herald, Parents, Parenting and Sesame Street Parents. And, I am the author and collaborating author of several books, non-fiction and fiction including several "Murder, She Wrote" novels. I wrote "The Unofficial Guide to New England and New York with Kids" (Wiley & Sons), which was on Barnes and Noble's Top Ten Family Travel bestseller list. I am also the author of "New York City Made Easy," "New York City With Kids," "Best of Boston with Kids and Teens" "Conversations with Great Writers" and "Family-Friendly Restaurants in NYC." In addition, I am a contributing author to Peter Walsh's bestseller "How to Organize Just About Anything." Baseball is a huge love of mine and I have a popular e-book published "Physics of Baseball for Kids," which is a top seller on Amazon Kindle. I am also a contributing editor and writer to two online magazine sites, www.travelmuse.com and www.celebratewithstyle.com.
